White Rabbit

and so first the Protagonist met the frightened white rabbit so unsure of itself and its abilities

downgrading itself and living with fear was it’s habit

and so the rabbit never took use of endless possibilities
and so this rabbit ran and hide 

in hole after hole in hopes of hiding it true self

at the same time being but the protagonist’s guide

but failing to be true to itself
never would you come to see a creature like this

never truly believing in the creature’s own dreams

of leaving the nest and escaping the abyss but was this creature what it seems
one day so timid, the next so vicious

in one hour so unsure the next decided

in one minute undetermined the next ambitious

in one second ever-seeing the next blinded
but was I to know 

a creature so shell shocked

and it’s confidence in a chest it could never bestow

but when would the chest become unlocked 
tsk tsk it would seem that at times

the discovery would be close yet escape the rabbit 

but then again the chest was accessed sometimes

but closed twice as deep out of habit
could the protagonist for once

mind it’s own business and keep its nose down

before oh before the protagonist must run 

yes run run right out of town
for the protagonist was up against a beast

that twice at moonlight

that changed into something rarely released

which was the against the creature’s birthright
sadly could not the protagonist learn

that there are some things you must not seek to know

some demons cannot be beat oh what was the term 

for it was all a show
yet again, the rabbit stuck to a plan

for it know not what it wanted or needed

and all the protagonist could say was damn

so let this story not go heeded
there are something thou shalt not disturb something that thou out not see

that thou should not try to usurp

and one of those thing might be the inner-self of thee
